Key Plastics has been awarded the top “Platinum” Award by CommScope in recognition of our performance. CommScope honour supplier excellence around the world each year and it was a great privilege to win the award in 2017.

At the award ceremony in Brno, Czech Republic, Key Plastics Moulding Director Patrick Kearney and Quality Systems Manager Thomas Purcell accepted the award on behalf of the company. The award is part of CommScope’s 10 Point Strategy Supplier Recognition Program.

The CommScope Awards

The Supplier Quality and Procurement departments at CommScope team up each year to recognise and reward their suppliers who have shown a high level of commitment in providing CommScope with first class products and services whilst at the same time striving to improve and sustain the highest level of manufacturing standards.

The awards are presented based on a CommScope’s 10-Point Strategy that they use to identify gaps and improvements for 10 KPI’s such as: on time every time and quality of tools. Each supplier is also evaluated on their use of 5S methods, Lean 6 sigma projects and adopting a culture that continuously looks to improve.

CommScope invited 200 companies from around the world to participate so to pick up an award is a great achievement and demonstrates our commitment to delivering the best products and services for our customers.
